Carol Cheung
Graduated in 2019 from Sheridan College’s Honours Bachelor of Interaction Design. Working over the summer as Event Director and Experience Designer for the same program’s First Year Student Orientation, and Event Coordinator for the Taste of Asia Festival 2019. Currently seeking other exciting opportunities with XD and Visual Design!
Besides my skills in XD and Visual Design, my multilingualism (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, French and Korean) and multiculturalism have allowed me to communicate with many clients of various cultural backgrounds and professions, ranging from clinicians, event planners, to government agencies.
My design approach—no matter the medium—is why this problem? how to solve it? and what is the final product? It’s always more mesmerizing when I start with 'why this problem,’ and ‘how I ended up with the final product.’
For me, good design is not always the most minimalistic or the most aesthetically pleasing. Designers ought to be extra careful with our target audience to make sure our solution achieves THEIR desired results. I am growing more and more comfortable with failures through the process of reiterating, prototyping, and researching.
